Meet the Founders

Tutor Fish was founded by Cynthia Covington, whose work is shaped by over 30 years of nursing experience, ESE teaching expertise, and more than two decades of homeschooling. Her approach blends academic support, advocacy, and emotional encouragement so children with diverse learning needs feel capable, supported, and seen.

Alongside her son, Eddie Covington, Ms. Cynthia has built Tutor Fish to help families navigate tutoring, IEPs, 504 Plans, Step Up scholarships, and important educational decisions with clarity and confidence. Together, they combine Cynthia’s deep hands-on experience with a modern, family-centered approach to supporting students and parents.
